Thomas leads MetraWeather operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. An experienced Regional Manager with a strong background in operational meteorology and commercial account leadership, he graduated from the University of Reading in 2011 and began his career as a marine meteorologist in Aberdeen. He joined MetService in 2016 as a consultant meteorologist, supporting clients across the media, marine and retail sectors before expanding into account management in 2019.
Since his promotion to UK Regional Manager in 2024, Thomas has focused on strengthening regional partnerships, driving growth and delivering tailored forecasting solutions that support clients’ strategic and operational objectives, working closely with the UK-based meteorological consulting team.

Kirsty is an experienced account manager with a strong background in science and client engagement. She studied Geophysics at the University of Edinburgh, completed an internship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and began her career as a research scientist at the University of Oxford.
Over the past two decades, she has partnered with leading organisations such as ITV, Channel 5, The Weather Channel UK, Sky News and the Royal Meteorological Society, building long-term client relationships, driving business growth, and delivering tailored solutions to meet strategic objectives.

Martin is a Customer Engineer for WeatherscapeXT and has been supporting MetraWeather clients for more than 20 years. He holds an MA and HDip in the Psychology of Colour in Art, Industrial Design and Technology.
Over an eight-year period, Martin worked across Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Manila, helping broadcasters successfully deploy and integrate their Weatherscape XT platforms. He is now based in the UK, where he supports clients across the European region.

Matt is a Consultant and Operational Meteorologist with Weather Commerce/MetraWeather, having joined the business in 2007. He began his studies with an Advanced GNVQ in Science before completing a degree in Environmental Science at Manchester Metropolitan University (2003), and furthered his education with additional studies in mathematics, physics and earth sciences during a year in Canada (2004–2005).
With nearly a decade of professional forecasting experience, Matt has developed particular expertise in synoptic meteorology, tropical systems, medium- and long-range forecasting, and severe weather prediction. A Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society (FRMetS) for over 10 years, he has recently been awarded Registered Meteorologist (RMet) status and serves on the Royal Meteorological Society’s Meetings Committee, reflecting his continued contribution to the profession.
Steff Gaulter

Steff is Business Development Manager at MetraWeather, bringing a strong background in broadcast meteorology and media leadership. She trained with the UK Met Office before working with the BBC, Sky News and Channel 5, and later establishing and leading the Weather Department at Al Jazeera English in Doha.
At Al Jazeera, she founded and grew a high-performing international team, overseeing recruitment, strategy and operational standards across broadcast and digital platforms. Since returning to the UK in 2019, Steff has held leadership and capability-building roles and was awarded Chartered Manager status by the Chartered Management Institute. Now at MetraWeather, she combines her industry insight, strategic leadership and technical expertise to drive commercial growth and help media partners enhance their weather graphics and storytelling capabilities.
